I was born and raised in Houston, Texas although I can't say I grew up there. That happened a few years later after I moved to Austin. And truth be told, I'm still working a little on the whole growing up thing. I hope to be done by the time I hit 65 or so. I have spent the greater part of my life as a working, professional photographer. Nothing I have ever done professionally has given me greater joy than creating and sharing images. This book is the result of photographing the Texas Hill Country, my home, for the past five years or so and few observations from an old man in recovery. I am an addict and I have been living life on life's for over 30 years without the help of mood or mind altering drugs. I owe my life to the rooms of recovery. I am truly grateful to be able to share a few experiences and a handful of my favorite photographs.
